Rent Rally in front of Governor Cuomo’s office

Governor Andrew Cuomo's Office, 633 Third Ave. 12 p.m.

Last Thursday, the PCVST Tenants Association, along with Council Member Dan Garodnick, Assemblymember Brian Kavanagh and Senator Tom Duane rallied outside of Governor Andrew Cuomo’s office to speak out against the j51 bill, which they claimed serves more as a windfall to landlords and keeps deregulated apartments from becoming regulated again.

The Tenants Association also invites tenants to take a trip to Albany for the cause. The Real Rent Reform Campaign has schdeuled buses for this purpose and there are two trips slated for May 24 and June 1. To get on the bus, RSVP by emailing the realrentreform@gmail.com or contact Mary Teck at the Tenants & Neighbors, (212) 608-4320 x316.

See more on the rally in the May 19 issue of Town & Village. In the meantime, here are some pics from the rally!
