The clock is ticking: bus trips to Albany

The June 15 deadline for the expiration of rent laws is only breaths away and The Real Rent Reform Campaign is organizing trips to Albany on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next week. The group is also preparing to take tenants to Albany every day after June 15, if the laws are not yet renewed. There will be a “mass mobilization” to Albany on Monday, June 13 at 8 a.m. Buses are free and lunch will be provided. Find bus locations and schedules below:

Bus departure locations:

Brooklyn/Queens: Stops at both Make the Road NY offices (301 Grove Street, Brooklyn, then 92-10 Roosevelt Avenue,Queens). For more info, contact Hilary Klein at hilary.klein@maketheroadny.org

Upper West Side: 95th and Broadway, contact realrentreform@gmail.com

East Harlem/Bronx: Stops at Community Voices Heard in East Harlem, then at Fordham Road and Jerome Avein the Bronx. For more info, contact Carmen Pineiro at carmen@cvhaction.org.

Can’t make it on Monday? There will also be bus departures at the following locations on Tuesday and Wednesday:

Tuesday, June 14: Depart at 10 a.m. from Downtown Brooklyn: DeKalb and Flatbush Ave. For more info, contact Jon Furlong at jon_furlong@prattarea.org.

Wednesday, June 15: Depart at 10 a.m. from the Upper West Side: 95th and Broadway. For more info, contact Larry Wood at larryw@goddard.org
