‘PERV’ BUSTED ON SUBWAY
Police arrested 31-year-old Carlos Llerena for sexual abuse at the corner of Broadway and West 28th Street last Wednesday at 8:44 a.m. The victim told police that while she was riding an uptown express train, she felt something stiff pressed up against her buttocks. Police said that Llerena was observed walking directly behind the victim entering the train and pressing up against her with an erection.
FIRE FIGHTER BUSTED FOR ‘ASSAULT’
Off-duty fire fighter Christopher Hamilton, 23, and Fernando Sacon, also 23, were arrested for assault at the southeast corner of Third Avenue and East 29th Street last Saturday at 3:50 a.m. Police said that Sacon and Hamilton punched each other multiple times. Police did not have any information on what the fight was about or if the two men knew each other beforehand.
WEST 27TH ST. ‘BURGLAR’ BUSTED
Police arrested 45-year-old Walter McArthur inside the 13th Precinct at 230 East 21st Street for burglary last Monday at 1:01 p.m. Police said that McArthur entered a commercial building at 34 West 27th Street on July 16 by climbing the scaffolding attached to the building and breaking the window to get inside. McArthur allegedly swiped a laptop and camera from the location and could not provide a legitimate reason for being on the premises.
BARTENDER ASSAULTED AT TOSHI’S
Police arrested 22-year-old John Bodoy for assault inside Toshi’s Living Room at 9 West 26th Street last Monday at 12:36 a.m. The victim told police that he was working as a bartender at the location when Bodoy entered the bar and started an argument with him. Bodoy then allegedly threw a drinking glass at the bartender, hitting him in the face and causing a number of cuts, which required stitches. Bodoy was also charged with menacing, disorderly conduct and harassment.
ASSAULT ON EAST 30TH
Police arrested 23-year-old Angel Rosado for assault in front of 200 East 30th Street last Thursday at 5:30 a.m. The doorman at the building said that he saw Rosado stumbling towards the building while the victim was coming home from the grocery store. Rosado allegedly approached the victim and started antagonizing him. The doorman told police that he went to usher the victim into the building before Rosado could attack him but when he was about to enter the building, Rosado allegedly punched the victim in the face, causing a cut and bleeding. The victim proceeded to defend himself against Rosado, who police said continued to attack him for no apparent reason. The doorman said that Rosado seemed intoxicated.
‘BAG SNATCHER’ BUSTED ON EAST 28TH
Police arrested 24-year-old Thomas Porter for petit larceny in front of 344 East 28th Street last Thursday at 4:12 a.m. The victim told police that he was sitting on a park bench behind the building drinking a beer when Porter approached him and allegedly stole his bag off the table. A canvas was conducted with positive results and police said that Porter was in possession of a check belonging to the victim.
HOMELESS PAIR ARRESTED FOR ‘TRESPASSING’
Forty-year-old Matthew Pontani and 27-year-old Giasina Amber were arrested for criminal trespass inside 37 Union Square West last Thursday at 11:49 a.m. Police said that Pontani and Amber were homeless and sleeping on the roof of the building, where they did not have permission to be. They allegedly entered the back of the building through a street alley, which has a gated entrance.
MAN BUSTED FOR ‘THEFT’ AT BETH ISRAEL
Police arrested 63-year-old Meryl Modica for grand larceny and possession of stolen property inside Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital at 281 First Avenue last Thursday at 4:13 p.m. Modica allegedly removed the victim’s property from the lobby of the building without permission.
NABBED FOR ‘LEWDNESS’ AT WEST 24TH AND SIXTH
Police arrested 49-year-old John Cardinali for public lewdness at the corner of Sixth Avenue and West 24th Street last Thursday at 7:58 p.m. Police said that Cardinali intentionally exposed his penis while shaking it in his hand in a public place and allegedly said to the victim, “You need some f—ing help with something?”
‘MENACE’ ARRESTED IN UNION SQUARE
Police arrested 53-year-old Nicholas Rhodes for menacing in front of 31 Union Square West on Friday at 11:35 p.m. Police said that Rhodes approached the victim in a threatening manner by raising his fists and threatening to hit him. The victim told police that he was fearful for his physical safety.
TEEN ARRESTED FOR ‘MISCHIEF’ AT GOOD SHEPHERD SERVICES
Nineteen-year-old Daisha Dyer was arrested for criminal mischief last Tuesday at 2:06 p.m. inside the Good Shepherd Services residence for girls at 337 East 17th Street. The victim said that there was a meeting going on when Dyer allegedly began to kick and bang on the door where the meeting was being held. Police said that she also broke the glass enclosure on the fire extinguisher and took the device out, allegedly spraying in the hallway. Police said that she began screaming, “I’m going to get you, I’m not playing today.”
MAN NABBED FOR ASSAULT ON FIFTH AT WEST 16TH
Police arrested 24-year-old Jermaine Himmelstein for aggravated harassment and assault at the corner of Fifth Avenue and West 16th Street last Wednesday at 4:25 p.m. Himmelstein allegedly followed the victim after an earlier argument and then punched the victim in the back of the head, causing redness, swelling and substantial pain.
