‘GROPER’ NABBED IN UNION SQUARE SUBWAY
Police arrested 27-year-old Leon Miller for sexual abuse inside the Union Square subway station last Thursday at 6:07 p.m. Miller allegedly grabbed a woman’s buttocks on the subway and police said that Miller and the victim don’t know each other.
MAN ARRESTED FOR MENACING AT PARK AVE. SOUTH AND EAST 22ND
Police arrested 48-year-old Jody Herman for menacing and weapons possession at the corner of Park Avenue South and East 22nd Street last Tuesday at 6:52 p.m. Police said that Herman pulled a knife out of his front pocket and waved it towards the victim, causing him to become alarmed and in fear for his personal safety.
COPS ON LOOKOUT FOR THUG WHO GRABBED PURSE FROM 72-YEAR-OLD WOMAN
Police are hunting a man who snuck behind a 72-year-old woman and snatched her purse, causing the woman to fall to the ground. The victim suffered injuries to her face and knees, but refused medical attention.
The victim’s purse contained her cell phone and $100.
The incident happened last Thursday, at around 5 a.m. in front 8 West 28th Street with the perp then fleeing east on East 28th Street.
The suspect is described as black, 20 to 30 years old, 5 ft.7 ins, and weighing 140 to 160 lbs. He was last seen wearing a baseball cap, backpack and long sleeved shirt with a skull logo on front.

MEN ARRESTED FOR METHADONE DEAL ON EAST 23RD STREET
Police arrested 53-year-olds Isamar Butter and Luis Vargas for an alleged drug deal in front of the Madison Square Post Office at 149 East 23rd Street last Wednesday. Police said at around 9:30 a.m., Butter was seen selling a quantity of alleged methadone to Vargas. Butter was charged with sale of a controlled substance and Vargas was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
ARREST FOR ELABORATE SHOPLIFTING SCHEME AT HOME DEPOT
Police arrested 59-year-old Edwin Madera inside Home Depot at 40 West 23rd Street last Tuesday after Madera allegedly took an item off the shelf in the store and paid for it, then left the store with the item. He then came back without it, police said, but went to the display and picked up the same item to return it for a refund. He was arrested for petit larceny and possession of stolen property
‘GANG’ MEMBER, OTHER MAN ARRESTED FOR DRUG DEAL ON BROADWAY
Police arrested 25-year-old Mohammed Sall and 28-year-old Mamadou Diallo for sale of marijuana in front of 1181 Broadway at 28th Street last Tuesday at 4 p.m. Police said that Sall and Diallo both sold alleged marijuana to undercover officers. Sall had additional alleged marijuana on him and was also charged with possession of marijuana. Police said that Sall is a known member of the Crips gang.
MAN BUSTED FOR GLASSES THEFT
Police arrested 38-year-old Francisco Vasquez for burglar’s tools at the corner of Broadway and East 20th Street last Tuesday at 4:10 p.m. Police said that Vazquez was originally seen casing bicycles at West 23rd Street and Sixth Avenue but he then entered a Lenscrafters at 150 Fifth Avenue and allegedly swiped glasses.
BUSTED FOR BANANA THEFT
Police arrested 38-year-old Josue Herrera for petit larceny and possession of stolen property in front of 110 East 28th Street last Wednesday at 1:16 p.m. Police said that Herrera took a bunch of seven bananas from a fruit stand without paying for them and put them in a red shopping bag. He allegedly began to walk away before he was stopped by police.
MAN BUSTED FOR UNION SQUARE BURGLARY
Police arrested 27-year-old Jorge Molina for burglary and theft last Wednesday at 4:25 p.m. inside the 13th Precinct. Police said that Molina entered the offices of PhotoShelter at 33 Union Square West earlier that day and remained there unlawfully. He allegedly stole property from the office and police said that a print at the scene positively identified Molina as the suspect.
MAN BUSTED FOR ASSAULT ON WEST 26TH
Police arrested 27-year-old Pablo Leon for assault in front of 36 West 26th Street last Sunday at 5:01 a.m. Police said that Leon punched the victim in the face during an argument, causing visible swelling to his cheek and nose, and there was blood on his face. No further information was available about what caused the argument.
DRUNK DRIVER ARRESTED AT PARK AVE. SOUTH AND EAST 23RD STREET
Police arrested 35-year-old Ishtiaq Muhammad for intoxicated driving at the corner of Park Avenue South and East 23rd Street last Sunday at 3:02 a.m. Police said that Muhammad was driving east on East 23rd Street from Fifth Avenue to Park Avenue South in the buses only lane. When police stopped him, he allegedly had bloodshot, watery eyes, a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, slurred speech and unsteady balance.
MAN ARRESTED FOR DAMAGING TAXI
Police arrested 34-year-old Mohamed Keita for criminal mischief in front of 29 West 27th Street last Friday at 6:12 p.m. Keita allegedly threw a glass Snapple bottle at the victim’s taxi, causing the back window to break. Keita was arrested after a witness told police about the incident and they searched the area, and police said that both the witness and the victim positively identified Keita.
