WOMAN ARRESTED FOR MUGGING ELDERLY WOMAN
Police arrested 49-year-old Lillian Maduro on Monday for an attempted robbery that took place on Tuesday, September 27 at noon near Fifth Avenue and West 12th Street. Police said that Maduro approached a 90-year-old woman and tried to snatch her duffle bag from the front of her utility cart. When the victim tried to prevent Maduro from taking the bag, the suspect allegedly knocked her to the ground and continued to pull at the bag. Police said that the victim managed to fight Maduro off and retained possession of her bag while Maduro allegedly fled east on East 12th Street. The victim was treated at Mount Sinai Beth Israel for cuts to her right arm and middle finger.
MAN WANTED FOR GROPING IN HERALD SQUARE
Police are looking for a man in connection with a groping incident near Herald Square in October. A 31-year-old woman reported that an unidentified man grabbed her buttocks while on the downtown BDFM platform on Tuesday, October 4 around 11 a.m. The man fled the station to the street. The victim described him as 25-35 years old, 5’10”, 180 lbs. with a slim build and black hair. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

WOMAN WANTED FOR PARK AVE. BANK ROBBERY
Police are looking for a woman who committed a bank robbery in the Midtown South Precinct earlier this month. The suspect strolled into the Chase Bank at 2 Park Avenue between 32nd and 33rd Streets last Saturday around 3 p.m., approached a bank teller and passed a note demanding money. The teller complied and the suspect fled the bank with an undetermined amount of cash. The suspect has a light complexion, in her late 30s, 5’4” and 150 lbs. and was last seen wearing a black pea coat, black pants, white sneakers, black sunglasses and a black and white Yankee baseball cap. MAN BUSTED AT SHELTER FOR INTENT TO SELL HEROIN, COCAINE
Police arrested 63-year-old Gilberto Sosa for intent to sell a controlled substance inside the 30th Street Men’s Shelter at 400 East 30th Street last Thursday at 7:31 p.m. Police said that they had a warrant to search Sosa’s things and allegedly found 39 glassine envelopes of heroin and 67 small ziplock bags of crack cocaine. He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance.
WOMAN ARRESTED FOR ‘FAKE’ ADDERALL SCRIP
Police arrested 27-year-old Stephanie Levine for intent to sell a controlled substance inside Gramercy Park Towers at 205 Third Avenue last Wednesday. Police said that Levine filled fraudulent prescriptions for Adderall on a number of different dates at various pharmacies and she was not a patient of the doctor whose prescriptions she was filling.
MAN BUSTED FOR BURGLARY IN FIFTH AVE. BUILDING
Police arrested 25-year-old Javon Segrede for burglary inside 225 Fifth Avenue last Saturday at 1:50 p.m. Police said that Segrede entered the basement of the residential building through an emergency exit door without permission. Once he was inside, he allegedly went through several lockers containing workers’ personal property. Police said he then entered an area where residents’ incoming packages are stored without permission to be there, and he was allegedly rifling through the passages. A custodian for the building told police that he heard a ladder falling near the emergency exit door, which also connects the building to an adjoining gym. Police said that Segrede could be seen on video surveillance walking down a hall into the building and allegedly going through the lockers.
MAN ARRESTED FOR STEALING PURSE FROM STROLLER
Police arrested 43-year-old Ralph Smith for grand larceny and possession of stolen property at the corner of Seventh Avenue and West 25th Street last Thursday at 2:32 p.m. Police said that Smith grabbed the victim’s purse, which contained multiple credit cards, from her stroller. He was allegedly found in possession of her purse.
MAN BUSTED FOR AGGRESSIVE PANHANDLING IN TRAFFIC
Police arrested 48-year-old Anibal Gonzalez for aggressively panhandling at the corner of Second Avenue and East 30th Street last Thursday at 9:25 a.m. Police said that Gonzalez was aggressively approaching cars on the street while begging for change and was impeding the flow of traffic. He was charged with disorderly conduct and an unclassified misdemeanor.
MAN ARRESTED FOR SLEEPING INSIDE CLOSED BANK
Police arrested 36-year-old Ernesto Carillo for criminal trespass inside a Chase Bank ATM area at 69 Fifth Avenue last Tuesday at 6:34 a.m. Police said that Carillo was sleeping inside the bank while it was closed.
GIRLS NABBED FOR FIGHT AT GOOD SHEPHERD
Police arrested two teenagers involved in a fight inside Good Shepherd Services, a residents for girls, at 337 East 17th Street last Tuesday at 12:21 a.m. The two girls got into an argument, leading to a fist fight in which one of the teens sustained a cut to her ring finger and the other got a bloody nose. Both were transported to Beth Israel Hospital for treatment.
MAN BUSTED FOR DRILL AT HOME DEPOT FOUTH WITH ‘CRACK’ PIPE
Police arrested 46-year-old Parick Griese for petit larceny and possession of stolen property inside the Home Depot at 40 West 23rd Street last Thursday at 9:44 a.m. Police said that Griese took a DeWalt compact drill from a store display and left without paying for the item. He was stopped by a security guard and police said that the item was recovered. He was also in possession of a crack pipe containing alleged residue and was also charged with possession of a controlled substance.
MAN ARRESTED FOR TRESPASSING AT CONSTRUCTION SITE
Police arrested 29-year-old Christopher Viezaga for criminal trespass inside 10 East 29th Street last Thursday at 2:44 p.m. Police said that Viezaga entered the location without permission and remained there unlawfully. He allegedly ripped down caution tape where a construction site was blocked off and went to the roof of the building.
MAN BUSTED FOR ‘FAKE’ CREDIT CARD AT W. 24TH ST. HOTEL
Police arrested 42-year-old Janusz Adamczak after he allegedly rented a room inside the Hampton Inn at 108 West 24th Street last Thursday with a fraudulent credit card. Police busted Adamczak at around 5:45 p.m. and when he was searched, he was also allegedly in possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. He was charged with intent to sell a controlled substance, possession of stolen property, petit larceny and possession of drug paraphernalia.
‘POT’ DEALER ARRESTED ON E. 15TH
Police arrested 23-year-old Reynaldo Santana for possession of marijuana in front of 25 East 15th Street last Friday at 6:09 p.m. Police said that Santana was smoking a joint on the sidewalk and when he was searched, he was in possession of an additional 24 ziplock bags containing alleged marijuana.
