POLICE ARREST MAN SUSPECTED OF RAPE AT BEAUTY BAR
Thirty-year-old Brenton Maughn-Tulloch was arrested for rape inside Beauty Bar at 231 East 14th Street last Saturday at 1:41 a.m. Police said that Maughn-Tulloch was inside a bathroom stall at the location doing lines of cocaine with a woman when he allegedly raped her. According to the DA’s office, Maughn-Tulloch pulled off the victim’s pants and pinned her against the wall of the bathroom before sexually assaulting her.
When he was searched, he was also in possession of alleged marijuana.
Maughn-Tulloch’s attorney did not return a request for comment before T&V’s press time.
MAN SLASHED IN FIGHT AT METHADONE CLINIC
Police arrested two men involved in a fight inside the Methadone Maintenance Treatment Program at Mount Sinai Beth Israel at 429 Second Avenue last Friday at 8:26 a.m. Police said that 44-year-old Nelson Segui and 44-year-old Luis Ramirez were both standing in line at the clinic when they got into an argument that escalated into a physical fight. Segui allegedly pulled out a knife and slashed Ramirez, causing an injury to his lip, and police said that his jacket was cut numerous times. Ramirez allegedly punched Segui in the face and picked up a garbage can, hitting Segui in the face and causing redness and swelling.
OFFICERS ASSAULTED AT BELLEVUE
Thirty-year-old Jason Westley was arrested for assault of a peace officer inside Bellevue Hospital at 462 First Avenue last Saturday at 3:30 a.m. Westley was handcuffed and he was being escorted to the restroom. When an officer removed the handcuffs, Westley allegedly used the bathroom door to slam it shut on the officer’s hand and arm. Another officer intervened and Westley allegedly punched the officer in the face.
MAN BUSTED FOR CVS ROBBERY
Police arrested 54-year-old Christopher Corbett for robbery inside the CVS at 636 Sixth Avenue last Friday at 1:13 p.m. Police said that Corbett swiped items from the store and attempted to leave and when an employee asked for the merchandise back, Corbett allegedly punched the worker in the face and fled. The employee called 911 and followed Corbett, pointing the suspect out to the arresting officer at the northwest corner of West 19th Street and Fifth Avenue. Corbett was also charged with possession of stolen property.
MAN NABBED AT UNION SQUARE AFTER PEEING BETWEEN TRAIN CARS
Police arrested 28-year-old Miguel Rodriguez for impersonation inside the Union Square subway station last Thursday at 3:32 a.m. Police said that Rodriguez was seen urinating between train cars on an uptown 6 train and when he was stopped, he didn’t have any form of identification on him. He allegedly told police that his name was Ricardo Robles. Police said that he was informed that misrepresentation of his identity was a crime and an investigation revealed his real name. He was also charged with an unclassified violation.
TEEN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULTING WOMAN WITH CAN
Eighteen-year-old Daniel Howard was arrested for assault in front of 333 Park Avenue South last Sunday at 10:57 a.m. The victim told police that six people were walking behind her when a can was thrown at the back of her head, causing injury and pain. Police said that Howard later confessed to throwing the can at the victim.
FIGHT AT SKYPORT MARINA
Police arrested 25-year-old Brian Casilla for assault and harassment in front of the Skyport Marina at 24-30 FDR Drive last Monday at 1:48 a.m. Police said that Casilla punched two victims in the face, causing minor cuts and swelling.
MAN ARRESTED FOR TRESPASSING AT MCDONALD’S
Police arrested 45-year-old Pernell Styles for criminal trespass and possession of a controlled substance last Tuesday at 9:24 a.m. inside the McDonald’s at 541 Sixth Avenue. Police said that Styles was loitering at the restaurant, and he was searched, Styles was also in possession of an alleged crack pipe.
MEN ARRESTED FOR SLEEPING AT BANKS
Police arrested 55-year-old Richard Lewis for criminal trespass inside the Bank of America at 399 Third Avenue last Wednesday at 8:02 a.m. Police said that Lewis was sleeping on the floor of the bank.
Twenty-six-year-old Demike Sanchez was also arrested for sleeping inside another Bank of America location and was charged with criminal trespass. Police said that Sanchez was seen sleeping inside a bank location at 530 Sixth Avenue last Thursday at 6:33 a.m.
MAN NABBED FOR TRESPASSING AT UN SCHOOL
Police arrested 31-year-old Zhong Zheng for criminal trespass inside the United Nations School at 24-50 FDR Drive last Wednesday at 9:44 a.m. Police said that Zheng was on the third floor inside the building without authority or permission to be there.
MEN BUSTED FOR DRUG DEAL ON FIFTH AVENUE
Police arrested 28-year-old Jonathan King for intent to sell a controlled substance in front of 71 Fifth Avenue last Wednesday at 5:10 p.m. Police said that King removed small objects from a pill bottle and sold them to 51-year-old Michael Bardini, who was charged with possession of a controlled substance. Police said that King was in possession of an amount of amphetamine and an amount of heroin, and he was also charged with sale of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
