I wore red, white and blue on Jan. 20

Re: Letter, “Why I’ll be wearing black on January 20,” T&V, Jan. 19

The eight years under Obama’s imperialistic rule has taken its toll on the majority of the country.

The majority kept quiet because we were told to voice our dissatisfaction with his regime will only show that we were racist against the first African-American president.

Eight years of witnessing an unvetted man take our country in a direction not familiar with our American values. Year after year he ran the country helped by Hillary as a co-president using her position as secretary of state to fattened her global foundation with donations from countries that obviously needed favors from her when she at her turn becomes president.

These two Alinskyites robbed and destroyed the country and the American economy and it would not have been so bad until they started to lie and cover-up their handling of the Libyan invasion, killing Gaddafi. Gaddafi’s men attacked our consulate in Benghazi, killing Ambassador Stevens and four American men on his staff. Etched in my memory was the apparition of both Hillary and Obama in the Rose Garden blaming the killing in Benghazi on a poor American man that made an incomplete obscure video on Muhammad.

How many of you know that this poor man went to jail and served a lengthy sentence? The gaul of these two heartless monsters, accusing an innocent man. They went to bed for years knowing that he was innocent. ISIS started in Libya no thanks to Hillary and Obama.

The whole Middle East is in flames and our economy is destroyed except of course for the Washington crowd, Hillary and her entourage and Obama’s giveaway from middle class to his cronies.

Obama destroying our police morale by helping and creating Black Lives Matter, emboldened by him to kill police officers. Bringing hundreds of thousands of children from South America and Muslim Syrian Refugees by the hundred thousand against our cries.

His open hatred against Benjamin Netenyahu, Prime Minister of Israel. Allowing the U.N. to vote endangering the very existence of the Israeli State. Obama’s use of the IRS, the Justice Department, the State Department, the FBI etc. to serve him at his own will and lie for him.

When exposed, Obama and Hillary found cover with the leftist media, the academia and the Hollywood crowd.

We, the silent majority, barely lived under Obama’s eight years but we were not going to put up with any year with Hillary. Trump was created by Obama and Hillary.

For those of you snowflakes that need a safe place but need to go to work you may wear black for the next four years. Black is considered chic.

The Donald vs. Tricky Dick

Surely “tricky Dick” was an insecure and a blatant crook. But, at least he was quite intelligent, especially concerning foreign affairs. Nixon didn’t care much about domestic concerns, but after having read many books and articles concerning President Nixon, I can say he was quite brilliant.

Brilliance and integrity are independent variables and Trump is not only evil and a pathological egomaniac to the max, he knows nothing and promises everything to the ignorant electorate with no specifics.

And thanks to Meryl Streep for her comments concerning The Donald at the Golden Globes Awards ceremony. Add: Trump’s insulting tweets about Streep’s comments at 6:30 on that Monday morning provide more evidence that he is totally unfit to be president.

Feeling left out to dry

It was both sneaky and shocking to find wash and dry has each been increased 15 cents respectively.  An announcement or explanation would have been the better way, rather than catch tenants unprepared.

  1. Normally I don’t agree with any of the liberal political posts that show up in the T&V, especially our weekly rant from Steven Sanders, and that continues to be true with David Chowes post. On the other hand, Jeannete’s post was a breath of fresh air.

In terms of the laundry, what do you expect from a management that is more concerned with turning this place into a dorm (quiet hours, seriously?!?!), and most students (not all) have access to money from mom and dad so the increase means nothing. Who cares about the rest of us?

    • Ever hear of the Gallup Poll? And he keeps dropping.

President Donald Trump’s net approval rating dropped by eight points in his first week in the Oval Office, according to daily polls tracked by Gallup.

On Sunday Jan. 22, two days after being sworn in, 45 percent of respondents said they disapproved of Trump’s job performance and 45 percent approved. By Friday Jan. 27, the percentage who disapproved rose to 50 and percentage who approved dipped to 42.

      >>>Here’s a newer result from one day ago>>>>

President Donald Trump enters office facing low job approval ratings and skepticism from voters, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday.

The survey found that 36% of American voters approve of Trump’s handling of his job after his first week, while 44% say they disapprove.

  2. In fact, the political right has been not silent. We heard endless whining and complaining about Barack Obama, Obamacare and Hillary Clinton over the last 8 years. Nor has the political right been in the majority. Trump lost the popular vote by nearly 3 million votes. Right now his approval rating is at 36%. Seems to me, if the left put up with whining and complaining from the right for 8 years, the right can put up with the left’s whining and complaining for the next 4.

  3. Time for the 25th Amendment to be invoked. I could accept a Republican President, even though I am a Democrat, but Trump is so obviously mentally unbalanced and has the emotional maturity of a 10-year old. In fact, I have known 10-year olds who are more emotionally stable and mature than he. Add to that the strong suspicion that he is Putin’s Useful Idiot, and I think we have ourselves a real problem in the WH, and that means a real problem for our Democracy.

    • Interesting how all the people protesting Trump had no problem when Bill Clinton had the same ideas about immigration or when Obama did the same thing in 2011. Ironically, it was the Obama administration that identified the 7 countries on Trumps ban but no one said boo when Obama designated these countries as dangerous.

  4. I think Donald Trump is an evil, amoral, totally godless man. There isn’t a decent bone in his body and the people close to him who are enabling this Hitler 2.0 are just as despicable. So much for all the religiosity of Ryan and Pence. We know that Bannon is a White Supremacist.

    • I very clearly recall you supporting abortion right here on these very pages. So excuse me if I find it hysterically funny that someone who supports the murder of the most innocent and vulnerable members of society thinking they have the moral high ground to call anyone else “evil, amoral, totally godless”. Additionally, since you “know that Bannon is a white supremacist” perhaps you could prove that to the rest of us.

  5. What is shocking is that the Tenants Association sat by and counted its money and did nothing as Trump was elected.

The TA in the past has participated by arranging buses to Albany, phone banking, and petitioning for its hand-picked candidates.

But this year it watches its membership numbers dwindle down to double-digits and does nothing.

    Sad!
