Police Watch: Senior stabbed in store robbery, man arrested for flipping table

SENIOR STABBED IN SIXTH AVENUE STORE ROBBERY
Police are on the lookout for three robbers, one of whom stabbed a 63-year-old man working at Xcellent DVD store at 515 Sixth Avenue before the trio made off with the cash register.
The men entered the Sunday at 4:40 a.m. and one of the suspects stabbed the victim in his left side before taking the cash register, which contained an undetermined amount of cash. The suspects fled the store West 13th Street towards heading west towards Seventh Avenue. The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital where he was treated and released.
One of the suspects was described as a black man, approximately 5’8” tall, 160 lbs., and was last seen wearing a grey sweatshirt and a surgical mask. The second suspect was described as a white or Hispanic man, approximately 6’0” tall, 170 lbs., and was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket. The third suspect is described as a white man who was last seen wearing a red and black flannel jacket. Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. MAN ARRESTED FOR FLIPPING TABLE AFTER DEMANDING MILLER LITE
Police arrested 33-year-old Anthony Williams after he allegedly flipped a table and injured an employee inside Bistango at 415 Third Avenue last Friday at 11:15 p.m. Police said that Williams walked into the restaurant and demanded a Miller Lite. An employee told Williams that the restaurant doesn’t sell Miller Lite and asked him to leave. In response, Williams allegedly flipped a table over, causing bruising to the victim’s ribs. Police said that multiple glasses and plates broke when Williams knocked the table over. Williams allegedly fled the restaurant and when he was stopped by police, he allegedly swung a bag containing two beers at the officer. He was ultimately arrested in front of 535 Second Avenue. He was charged with resisting arrest, assault and criminal mischief.

MAN ARRESTED FOR SKIMMING CREDIT CARDS
Police arrested 45-year-old Conrad Rosemond for forgery inside the Starbucks at 750 Sixth Avenue last Tuesday at 7:04 p.m. Police said that Rosemond was sitting inside the café with a laptop and skimmer device and was scanning gift cards and credit cards. When he was searched, he was allegedly in possession of forged gift cards and a skimming device.

BUSTED WITH 50 PAIRS OF PANTS FROM GAP
Police arrested 37-year-old Justo Nieves for grand larceny inside the Gap at 122 Fifth Avenue last Tuesday at 9:50 p.m. Police said that Nieves took 50 pairs of pants from a display case inside the store and allegedly attempted to leave without paying for them.

ARREST FOR WALLET THEFT AT BETH ISRAEL
Police arrested 32-year-old Anthony Lorenson for grand larceny last Friday with cops saying he stole someone’s wallet, including credit cards and driver’s license, while he was a patient at Mt. Sinai Beth Israel Hospital in 2013. Police said that he used one of the credit cards to purchase over $1,000 worth of merchandise from the Apple Store and he allegedly admitted to police that he stole the wallet and made the purchase.

MAN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT AT BRC SHELTER
Police arrested 47-year-old Miguel Gonzalez for assault last Monday for an incident in which Gonzalez allegedly punched another man in the face inside the Bowery Residents Committee shelter at 127 West 25th Street on January 15.

LANA DEL REY FAN BUSTED FOR GRAFFITI
Police arrested a teenager for tagging a column at the corner of Park Avenue South and East 28th Street last Friday at 7:11 a.m. Police said that the suspect used an orange brush marker to write “Lana Del Rey” on four separate tiles on the column inside the subway station. The teen, whose name is being withheld due to his young age, was charged with criminal mischief.

MAN NABBED FOR COCAINE ON WEST 21ST
Police arrested 25-year-old Christopher Mustacho for possession of a controlled substance in front of 55 West 21st Street last Sunday at 12:08 a.m. Police said that Mustacho was seen snorting a white powder from his hand that police determined was cocaine. When police approached him, he had alleged cocaine residue on his nose.

MAN ARRESTED FOR BROADWAY BURGLARY
Police arrested 38-year-old Akeam Jones for burglary last Sunday at noon. Police said that Jones removed property from 1186 Broadway on January 13 at 4:45 a.m. He allegedly broke into the business while it was closed and was arrested for the crime at the 13th precinct.

POT ‘DEALER’ ARRESTED ON WEST 27TH
Police arrested 34-year-old Ibrahim Turay for possession of marijuana in front of 27 West 27th Street last Tuesday at 9:40 a.m. Police said that he was seen doing a hand to hand transaction with another man who wasn’t arrested. He was allegedly in possession of 18 small bags of marijuana.
