MAN WANTED FOR STRING OF MEDICATION THEFTS
Police are looking for a man believed to be behind a pattern of over-the-counter medication thefts that occurred in Gramercy, Midtown, the Upper East Side and the Upper West Side.
It was reported to the police that on Tuesday, February 21 at 10:05 p.m., an unidentified man entered the Duane Reade located at 125 Third Avenue near East 14th Street and stole various medicationsfrom the shelves then fled in an unknown direction. The same man is suspected in eight other incidents from January 9 through February 23, with the suspect hitting Duane Reades on First and Second Avenue and Lexington Avenue on the Upper East Side, as well as other locations of the chain on Columbus Avenue.
The individual is described as a black man, 30 to 40 years old, 5’ 10”, and was last seen wearing a gray jacket above a gray sweatshirt and a hat.

MAN WANTED FOR THEFTS FROM CELL PHONE STORES
Police are still looking for a man wanted in connection with a number of cell phone thefts in Gramercy, Midtown North and South, and the Upper West Side.
The man is suspected of cutting the security devices on two cell phones inside a Verizon store at 395 Third Avenue on Sunday, January 22 around 5:15 p.m. and he is suspected of committing similar crimes at AT&T, Metro PCS and T-Mobile stores throughout the city in January. Last Friday, police also connected the man to an additional theft inside an AT&T store at 2066 Broadway on the Upper West Side, when he removed two cell phones before fleeing in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a man who is 5’10”, 165lb-175lbs and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a quarter-length overcoat. He has a distinctive scar on the left side of his head right above the ear.

MAN ARRESTED FOR MENACING WITH HAMMER
Police arrested 47-year-old Wayne Warren for menacing inside Gramercy Star Café at 23 Lexington Avenue last Tuesday at 11:56 a.m. Police said that Warren was verbally threatening the victim and swinging a hammer. According to the district attorney’s office, Warren struck the walls with the hammer multiple times, causing holes in the sheetrock. Warren allegedly told the victim, “I just want my money,” but no further information was available about what started the dispute.
MAN BUSTED FOR PICK-POCKETING AT CRAFT
Police arrested 22-year-old Bryan Torres for petit larceny and possession of stolen property inside Craft at 43 East 19th Street last Saturday at 11:23 p.m. Police said that Torres stole a cell phone from the victim’s bag.
MAN ARRESTED FOR GRABBING FRIES AT MCDONALD’S
Police arrested 27-year-old Jeramie Wroten for criminal trespass inside the McDonald’s at 336 East 23rd Street last Monday at 4:04 p.m. Police said that Wroten got into an argument with the restaurant manager, then allegedly hopped over the counter and attempted to take French fries from the food station without permission. The manager asked him to leave the restaurant and he reportedly refused. A store employee flagged down officers who were nearby and Wroten was arrested.
MAN NABBED FOR THEFT IN 30TH ST. SHELTER OFFICE
Police arrested 56-year-old William Sheppard for grand larceny inside the 30th Street shelter at 400 East 30th Street last Sunday at 10:38 a.m. Police said that Sheppard could be seen on video surveillance taking property, including cash, from an office inside the shelter without permission to do so.
WOMAN ARRESTED FOR PROSTITUTION AT E. 28TH ST. SPA
Police arrested 22-year-old Vivian Kraszna for prostitution inside Green Tea Acupuncture Wellness at 240 East 28th Street last Thursday at 5:12 p.m. Police said that Kraszna agreed to engage in sexual intercourse with an undercover officer in exchange for cash.
MAN ARRESTED FOR POT OUTSIDE STUY TOWN
Police arrested 27-year-old Adrian Burgess for possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana at the corner of Avenue C and East 16th Street.
Police said that Burgess was driving with a cracked windshield and when he was pulled over, he was allegedly smoking a marijuana cigar in plain view. Police said that he was also in possession of additional bags of alleged marijuana and alleged cocaine.
WOMAN ARRESTED FOR VENDING WITHOUT LICENSE
Police arrested a 61-year-old woman for an unclassified misdemeanor in front of 25 Union Square West last Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. Police said that the woman was offering buttons and t-shirts for sale and could not produce a Department of Consumer Affairs license when asked.
MAN BUSTED FOR SELLING LOOSIES
Police arrested a 40-year-old man for a tax law violation at the corner of Broadway and East 29th Street last Tuesday at 5:52 p.m. Police said that the man was selling unstamped Newport cigarette packs for cash and when he was stopped, he was in possession of additional unstamped cigarette packs.
MEN ARRESTED FOR TRESPASSING ON ROOF
Sixty-year-old Glanville Smith and 54-year-old Anthony Clinton were arrested for trespassing on the roof of 224 East 28th Street, a NYCHA building, last Friday at 9:34 p.m. Police said that the two men were on the roof of the NYCHA building where there are signs posted stating that no people are allowed on the roof landing. Smith was also in possession of a quantity of an alleged controlled substance and was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance.
