WOMAN ARRESTED FOR CREDIT CARD THEFTS FROM EQUINOX GYM
Police arrested 34-year-old Adrien McMaster on Friday for allegedly stealing credit cards from the Flatiron Equinox Gym at 897 Broadway and 20th Street on three different occasions and then using the cards to make purchases.
Police said that McMaster allegedly took an American Express card from a locker in the women’s locker room of the gym on October 21, 2016 without permission and used the card fraudulently in several locations. McMaster also reportedly stole two credit cards from a locker inside the gym on December 3, 2016. In a third incident on February 17, police said that McMaster stole a credit card from a locker and allegedly used it multiple times. Police said that video from the location showed McMaster entering and leaving the gym on all three dates.
She was arrested for grand larceny and possession of an anti-security item.
FOUR ARRESTED FOR ASSAULTING CABBIE ON SECOND AVENUE
Police arrested four people for assaulting a cab driver on Second Avenue last Sunday at just after 4 a.m. Police said that 21-year-old Stepfane Gilliam, 23-year-old Shawn Gilliam, 23-year-old Kenisha Thomas and 23-year-old Scott Hercules got into an argument with a cab driver because the four left the cab without paying the fare.
According to the district attorney’s office, the driver picked the suspects up at the corner of Eighth Avenue and West 25th Street and one of them told him to take them to East 51st Street and First Avenue. When they arrived, another one of the suspects allegedly asked the driver to take them to Second Avenue on the same block. When they arrived at Second Avenue, the suspects reportedly told the driver they weren’t paying because it wasn’t where they wanted to go, and to drive south on Second Avenue. The driver ultimately dropped them off at East 21st Street and Second Avenue, but they allegedly continued to refuse to pay the fare, which was $25.
The suspects knocked the driver to the ground, cops said, causing two nails on his left hand to partially rip off and causing cuts on his fingertips. Stepfane Gilliam was caught in front of 250 Second Avenue near East 15th Street at 4:25 a.m. and Shawn Gilliam was caught at East 17th Street and Rutherford Place around the same time. Hercules and Thomas were later arrested inside the 13th Precinct at 5:23 a.m. All four were charged with assault and theft of services.
MAN ARRESTED FOR BURGLARY
Police arrested 25-year-old Dario Rondon for burglary at the 13th precinct last Tuesday at 10:35 a.m. Police said that Rondon entered and remained unlawfully in the victim’s apartment and removed $40 in cash on March 8. Police said that Rondon was captured on the victim’s Nest home security camera. No information was available about the building that Rondon broke into.
MAN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT OUTSIDE DELI
Police arrested 20-year-old Jorge Rivera for assault in front of Empire Gourmet Deli at 432 Second Avenue last Wednesday at 1:42 a.m. Police said that Rivera punched the victim on the left side of the head, causing a cut on the victim’s ear.
MAN BUSTED FOR ASSAULT ON EAST 21ST
Police arrested 28-year-old Rait Murataj for assault in front of 245 East 21st Street last Wednesday at 6:45 p.m. Police said that Murataj waved his fist in a threatening manner towards the victim and allegedly punched her in the right thigh, causing bruising. The victim told police that she is also in fear for her safety.
STUY TOWN RESIDENT ARRESTED FOR DAMAGING LOBBY DOOR
Police arrested 19-year-old Isaiah David for criminal mischief inside the 13th precinct last Monday at 7:35 a.m. Police said that David damaged a lobby door of 19 Stuyvesant Oval by kicking and breaking the metal plate on the bottom of the door. Police said that David is a resident of the building.
MAN BUSTED FOR NINE BAGS OF POT ON WEST 26TH
Police arrested 42-year-old Alex Hausner for possession of marijuana in front of 55 West 26th Street last Thursday at 3:19 p.m. Police said that Hausner was cleaning a bong with alleged marijuana residue and was in possession of two bags of alleged marijuana. Police said that when he was searched, he was in possession of seven more bags of alleged marijuana.
DRIVER BUSTED FOR NO LICENSE OUTSIDE WATERSIDE PLAZA
Police arrested 36-year-old James Haynes for an unclassified traffic misdemeanor and for being an unlicensed operator at the corner of East 28th Street and Waterside Plaza last Friday at 3:58 a.m. Police said that Haynes committed a traffic infraction while driving east on East 23rd Street at the FDR and when he showed his license to the officer, it was allegedly suspended.
MAN NABBED FOR SELLING UMBRELLAS WITHOUT LICENSE
Police arrested a 61-year-old man for an unclassified misdemeanor in front of 4 Union Square East last Friday at 1:45 p.m. Police said that the suspect was selling 13 umbrellas on a public sidewalk without a DCA license and could not produce one when asked.

Police arrested 59-year-old Diana Rivera for sale of and possession of a controlled substance in front of Fine Food Deli at 411 Second Avenue last Thursday at 8:47 a.m. Police said that Rivera sold a quantity of prescription medication to an undercover officer.
