‘FLASHER’ CAUGHT ON EAST 21ST
Police arrested 32-year-old Anton Wilkins for alleged public lewdness inside the 13th Precinct last Thursday at 7:44 p.m. The victim told police that she was walking on East 21st Street between Third Avenue and Park Avenue South last Thursday at 7:40 p.m. when Wilkins walked past her and as she continued to walk, Wilkins allegedly walked up to her, pulled his penis out and began to masturbate, and allegedly told her to look at him.
MAN ALLEGEDLY SPITS BLOOD AT OFFICER AT BELLEVUE
Police arrested 22-year-old Johanni Martinez for assault of a peace officer inside Bellevue Hospital at 462 First Avenue last Sunday at 2:55 a.m. Police said that Martinez spat in an officer’s face with blood.
Police said that prior to the incident, Martinez had gotten into a fight in front of 150 West 4th Street around 1:25 a.m., hitting a man and a woman on the head with an umbrella. He was brought to Bellevue following the fight, which is when he allegedly spat in an officer’s face.
TEEN BUSTED FOR MUGGING ON WEST 15TH
Police arrested a teenager for snatching cash from someone at the corner of Seventh Avenue and West 15th Street. The victim told police that he and a friend were in the middle of the street on West 15th between Sixth and Seventh Avenues last Wednesday evening counting cash when the teen snatched the money and started running west towards Seventh Avenue. Police said that the victim then ran back towards Sixth Avenue to the Dunkin Donuts to get another friend for help and went back in the direction the teen fled, where a police officer saw them running.
A bystander then mentioned to the officers that it looked like someone needed help at the corner of West 15th Street and Seventh Avenue and when police arrived at the intersection, they found the victim and his friend attempting to restrain the teen, who was arrested shortly after.
MAN BUSTED FOR FORGED CHECK AT CHELSEA HYATT
Police arrested 34-year-old Delvis Acosta Polanco for grand larceny, identity theft and forgery inside the Hyatt Hotel at 815 Sixth Avenue last Monday at 1:04 p.m. Police said that Polanco booked a room at the Hyatt and when an employee looked up the credit card information, she realized that the name Polanco gave didn’t match the card. The person who owned the card told police that his credit card had been stolen and Polanco allegedly admitted to using a card that wasn’t his to book the hotel.
Polanco was also later charged with an additional count of grand larceny and possession of stolen property. Police said that he’d attempted to cash a forged check at an Upper West Side Western Union on May 31. A sales associate at the store contacted the owner of the check, who said that it was invalid and the account had been frozen prior to that incident. The sales associate had made a copy of the forged check but Polanco fled the location at the time of the incident.
MAN NABBED DRIVING STOLEN CAR
Police arrested 26-year-old Efraim Diaz for alleged possession of stolen property and unauthorized use of vehicle in front of 125 West 14th Street last Tuesday at 11:58 p.m. Police said that Diaz was seen driving a car that was reported stolen in Jersey City earlier that day.
MAN ARRESTED FOR SLEEPING INSIDE ST. GEORGE’S
Police arrested a 45-year-old man criminal trespassing inside St. George’s Episcopal Church at 209 East 16th Street last Thursday at 6:40 a.m. Police said that the man was seen sleeping inside the enclosed location, which had signs posted saying “no trespassing on church property.”
MAN ARRESTED FOR BREAKING ATM WINDOW
Police arrested 27-year-old Niko Siragusa for criminal mischief inside the Chase Bank ATM at 162 Fifth Avenue last Friday at 3:59 a.m. Police said that Siragusa entered the location with no pants or shoes on and proceeded to shatter the door inside the ATM lobby by kicking it. He then allegedly lay down and went to sleep, and police said that he suffered from cuts to his feet and ankles from the broken glass.
MAN NABBED FOR STOLEN PROPERTY IN UNION SQUARE
Police arrested 33-year-old Antonio Ashley for possession of stolen property at the corner of Union Square East and East 14th Street last Sunday at 6:05 p.m. Police said that Ashley was in possession of a check that didn’t belong to him. He was originally stopped inside Union Square station for entering the subway without paying. He was also charged with theft of services and criminal trespass.
