ALLEGED SUBWAY ‘GRINDER’ ON 6 TRAIN ARRESTED
Police arrested 64-year-old Mohamed Abdel Rahim for alleged sexual abuse inside the Union Square station on Tuesday, November 20 at 5:30 p.m. Rahim allegedly thrust his erect penis onto the victim’s buttocks while they were on an uptown 6 train. Police said that Rahim and the victim did not know each other.
MEN CHARGED WITH ASSAULT OUTSIDE FOOD EMPORIUM
Police arrested 43-year-old Kitwane Parkinson and 39-year-old Alexander Rivera for an alleged assault on Monday, November 19 at 4:25 p.m. in front of 10 Union Square East. Parkinson and Rivera allegedly kicked and punched the victim inside the location due to an argument they had earlier in the day. Police said that the victim had bruised lips.
WOMAN ACCUSED OF STEALING WALLET FROM HOLIDAY MARKET VENDOR
Police arrested 32-year-old Dominique Elgin for an alleged theft that took place in Union Square earlier this month. A vendor at the Union Square Holiday Market told police that she left her purse on a chair in her booth on Sunday, November 18 and around 5:50 p.m., she noticed that her wallet was missing from the bag. Police said that Elgin had allegedly used the victim’s credit card. She was busted on Wednesday, November 21 at 7:20 p.m. inside the 13th Precinct.
MAN BUSTED FOR STEALING PACKAGES FROM BUILDING LOBBY
Police arrested 58-year-old Jose Baez for an alleged burglary inside 144 West 23rd Street on Saturday, November 24 at 9:49 a.m. Police said that Baez was inside the location, allegedly opening packages in the lobby and removing items without permission to do so. Police said that he walked out of the location with the stolen packages. According to the building super, Baez does not live in the building and when police arrived, he allegedly had the stolen packages in his possession.
The super did not know how Baez got inside the building. When Baez was searched, police found a pipe containing alleged residue, glassine envelopes with a white powder and a glassine envelope with alleged marijuana.
Baez was charged with burglary, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
MAN NABBED FOR STRANGLING EX-GIRLFRIEND
Police arrested a 20-year-old man for alleged strangulation inside 4 West 22nd Street on Sunday, November 25 at 10:29 p.m. The victim told police that the suspect entered the building and used the elevator to get to the 12th floor then took the stairs to get to the 8th floor. Police said that the suspect and the victim, his ex-girlfriend, got into an argument during which he allegedly began choking her, causing her to lose consciousness. Police said that the victim’s father had to push the suspect off her and he was arrested shortly after. He was also allegedly in possession of smashed Xanax pills that were in his wallet. The man was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance.
MAN BUSTED FOR BUYING ALLEGEDLY STOLEN BIKE
Police arrested 34-year-old Mosru Zamana for alleged possession of stolen property in front of 119 Lexington Avenue on Wednesday, November 21 at 2:30 p.m. Police said that Zamana knowingly purchased a bike that was presented as stolen property by an undercover officer.
