The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the two unknown men connection to a robbery that occurred in Chelsea at the end of last month.
It was reported to police that on Sunday, August 25 at 10:50 p.m. opposite 101 West 15th Street, a 21-year-old man was walking at the location when two unknown men approached him and began to punch and kick the victim in his head and body. One of the suspects then removed the victim’s wrist watch and they both fled on foot west bound on 15th Street. EMS responded and transported the victim to Lenox Health Hospital for facial fractures, pain and swelling about to his face. Police said that the value of the watch is estimated at $13,000.
The two individuals are described as Hispanic men, 20-30 years of age. They were both last seen wearing dark clothing.
