Police Watch: Girl arrested for sexual misconduct, Paramedic assaulted

GIRL ARRESTED FOR SEXUAL MISCONDUCT AT GOOD SHEPHERD

Police arrested a teenage girl for sexual misconduct inside Good Shepherd Services at 337 East 17th Street on Tuesday, February 11 at 10:33 p.m. The victim told police that while playing a game of truth or dare, the suspect said, “I haven’t eaten anyone out in a while.” The victim said that she no longer wanted to play but as she was walking away, the suspect pulled the victim’s pants down and started performing oral sex on her without her consent.

MAN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULTING PARAMEDIC

Police arrested a 39-year-old man for assaulting a paramedic at the corner of Lexington Avenue and East 29th Street on Tuesday, February 11 at 12:09 p.m. Police said that the paramedic was administering first aid to someone who was unconscious when the suspect punched him multiple times, causing pain and a bruise to his left temple.

MAN NABBED FOR ROBBERY IN CVS

Police arrested a 38-year-old man for a robbery inside the CVS at 338 East 23rd Street on Friday, February 14 at 7 p.m. A store employee told police that the suspect entered the store and took items from the shelves without permission. The employee said that he saw the suspect take the items through store security footage and shortly after, approached the suspect and asked him to put the items back on the shelf. The suspect reportedly gave one of the items back to the suspect and while the employee was talking to the suspect in the store during the incident, the suspect said, “I have a needle and I will poke you.” The suspect displayed a needle at the employee while they were talking and the suspect then fled the store, heading east on East 23rd Street. Officers searched the area with the witness and spotted the suspect at the southwest corner of East 20th Street and First Avenue.

The suspect was also charged with petit larceny and possession of stolen property. 

WOMAN NABBED FOR SPITTING ON OFFICER

Police arrested a 37-year-old woman for harassment inside Bellevue Hospital on Monday, February 10 at 10 a.m. Police said that the suspect was being arrested and she reportedly spat on the officer who was escorting her through the hospital.

WOMAN BUSTED FOR THROWING CHEESE SHAKER

Police arrested a 33-year-old woman for criminal mischief inside Lunetta Pizzeria at 245 Third Avenue on Monday, February 10 at 10:07 a.m. The victim said that he was working in the restaurant when he got into an argument with the suspect, who then threw a cheese shaker at a lighting fixture inside the business, breaking the light. Police said that the suspect tried to flee but he pointed her out in a crowd.

MAN BUSTED FOR BURGLARY IN FLATIRON

Police arrested a 29-year-old man for burglary inside 119 Fifth Avenue on Wednesday, February 12 at 8 p.m. The suspect was charged in four separate incidents of burglary inside the offices at the location.

MAN NABBED FOR SELLING NARCOTICS

Police arrested a 38-year-old man for sale of a controlled substance inside 333 East 23rd Street on Thursday, February 13 at 11:57 a.m. Police said that pursuant to a Supreme Court warrant, the suspect was arrested for the criminal sale of narcotics to an undercover officer on five separate occasions.

WOMAN ARRESTED FOR STEALING FROM BANK ACCOUNT

Police arrested a 29-year-old woman for possession of stolen property on Thursday, February 13 at 10 a.m. inside the 13th precinct. Police said that the suspect received money sent by another person who hasn’t been arrested using the victim’s Wells Fargo account without the authority or permission to access the account.

MAN ARRESTED FOR SUSPENDED LICENSE

Police arrested a 22-year-old man for an unclassified traffic misdemeanor at the corner of West 18th Street and Sixth Avenue on Saturday, February 15 at 4:53 a.m.

Police said that the suspect was seen driving north in the left lane of Sixth Avenue without his lights on. When he was stopped, police found that he had a moderate smell of alcohol on his breath and watery, bloodshot eyes. Further investigation found that the suspect’s license was suspended.

The suspect was also charged as an unlicensed operator but was not charged with intoxicated driving.

WOMAN BUSTED FOR SEPHORA THEFT

Police arrested a 19-year-old woman for shoplifting inside the Sephora at 45 East 17th Street on Saturday, February 15 at 2:54 p.m. Police said that the woman went inside the store and took items off the shelf, putting them in her jacket before leaving without paying. A security officer stopped the woman outside the store and said that she did not have authority to take the items. She was charged with petit larceny and possession of stolen property.
