MAN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULTING WOMAN FOR PLANNING TO HAVE ABORTION
Police arrested a 33-year-old man for assaulting his girlfriend at the end of last month after she reportedly told him that she was going to have an abortion. The victim told police that the suspect punched her in the face while they were standing in front of 321 First Avenue on Friday, February 28 around 5:30 p.m., then choked her. She said that the suspect also broke her cell phone.
She said that the assault caused pain in her face. The victim was removed to Bellevue Hospital to check on the baby.
The suspect was charged with obstruction of breath, assault and criminal mischief.
MAN ARRESTED FOR BREAKING GIRLFRIEND’S ARM
Police arrested a 39-year-old man for an assault that took place on February 16 around 3 a.m. inside an apartment on East 27th Street at Third Avenue. Police said that the suspect assaulted a woman, causing extreme pain and serious physical injury, including a broken arm. The suspect was arrested on Tuesday, February 25 at 8 a.m. inside the 13th precinct.
