Cops are looking for a creep who stole a wallet from a 76-year-old woman worshipper at Saint Francis Xavier Church located at 46 West 16th Street.

The woman had left her purse unattended while receiving communion, and later discovered that $580 in unauthorized charges were made on her credit cards at various stores.

The incident occurred on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at about 12:30 p.m., but police only released details this week.

The suspect is described as a black man with a medium complexion, approximately 28 to 35 years with brown eyes and a medium build. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black vest, black sweatpants and a black knit hat.

Cops are looking for a pickpocket who stole a man’s wallet at the Union Square Subway station and then hit the victim on the head when he tried to get it back.

Police said that on Friday, July 13 at around 10 p.m. the victim was in the station when he realized his wallet was gone. He then asked passersby if they’d seen it, and was told that someone had picked it up from the floor. When he confronted the man, the victim saw the wallet in the other man’s hand. The two men struggled over the wallet and the thief then hit him, before throwing the wallet in the train tracks. The pickpocket then ran off and the victim was able to get his wallet back from the track bed.

The suspect, wanted for robbery, is described as white, in his 30s, 5’6″, 165 lbs. and had glasses. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt, black and white shorts and he had on a black backpack.

Female pickpockets pummel victim for asking for her wallet back

Police are on the lookout for a trio of pickpockets who gang-assaulted their victim when she realized her wallet was gone.

On Saturday evening at 6:45 p.m., police said the victim, a 19-year-old woman, was at the L train platform at the Union Square subway station when she was approached by the three suspects, who managed to swipe the victim’s wallet when boarding the train. The victim then confronted them, and asked for her wallet back. But instead of handing it over, as the train came to stop at 8th Avenue and 14th Street, the suspects punched and hit the victim on her face and body, then fled.

The victim was taken to Healthplex Medical Center for her injuries, which police did not specify.

The suspects are described as being black and 17 to 19 years old.
